The Conference Learning by Leaving 2022: “Digital nomads in the XXI century” focused on sharing experiences about the programs, strategies and resources that the different networks are developing for the acquisition of digital competence in citizens and its impact on labour mobility. It was also an opportunity to present the objectives and initiatives of the European Commission and discuss the use and scope of digital tools and their impact on employment, training, guidance and mobility of citizens.

The conference was held in Palma (Majorca) on 26, 27 and 28 October 2022 and was organised jointly by the EURES, EUROPASS, EUROGUIDANCE and EURODESK networks.

The event featured high-level presentations from the European Commission and the Spanish Public Employment service (SEPE) but also practical workshops on relevant topics such as digital skills, career management, digital credentials and fair mobility.

ESCO, Europass and EURES were highlighted as freely available tools that promote labour mobility across Europe and support public employment services and career guidance professionals in providing improved digital services to their customers (jobseekers and employers).

The event was also an excellent opportunity to share best practices among the networks and find new synergies between the national members of the different networks.
