The topic of the seminar was "The implementation of the European Instruments for Vocational Education and Training in Cyprus - Desired Synergies".

The ESCO team presented the ESCO classification and the Digital Labour market initiatives of the Unit “Skills and Qualifications” of DG Employment,Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission.

More specifically, the following initiatives were presented:

• the new Europass framework, 
• the Digital Competence Framework (DigComp) and 
• the Entrepreneurship Competence Framework (EntreComp).

The ESCO team participated in a panel discussion with representatives from the Ministries of Education and Labour of Cyprus, the ECVET Secretariat and the VET system of Cyprus, where topics around the evolution of the labour market and ways of bridging the gap between the education and the labour market were discussed. 

More than 65 participants attended the seminar from the vocational and educational system, including university lecturers, high school teachers and social partners.
