Należy stale ulepszać ESCO, aby zachować jej wartość dodaną dla rynku pracy oraz systemów kształcenia i szkolenia, ponieważ pracodawcy regularnie zgłaszają zapotrzebowanie na nowe zawody i umiejętności, zaś do programów kształcenia i szkolenia regularnie wprowadzane są zmiany w programach nauczania i terminologii. Aby uwzględnić te zmiany, ważne jest, aby często dzielić się informacjami zwrotnymi, sugestiami i propozycjami dotyczącymi sposobów ulepszenia treści klasyfikacji i zarządzania nią z organizacjami korzystającymi z ESCO i innymi stronami zainteresowanymi ESCO.
